The decision making activity was a pretty interesting one; every member of the class, which is really big, had to agree on the final decision taken as a group for adjustment of the first exam grade and terms for the second exam. As expected, the class turned into chaos, but somehow we managed to gather the most appealing ideas. In the beginning of the exercise I used Collaborating as the way to handle conflict because I needed to get the best out of the opportunity given since I did not do that good in the exam, and so I gave my opinion to a sub-group of what I thought would benefit us all the most. But then as a result of all the chaos, I turned into Accommodation and pretty much was willing to go with whatever the rest of the group decided. In the end I was very happy that we were able to take advantage of the generous opportunity given by the professor and to get to a decision that everyone approved of.
If we were to do this again, I still think Collaborating, just more organized, as the way to handle conflict would get us to a desirable result since the bargain and negotiation among the group can lead to an optimal decision.
